- Nietzsche Goes Bananas Here
I use headphones to explore the modalities and experience-making of spectators in exhibitions. This immersive piece is a response to an exhibition on humanity in dystopia at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai, China.
2. Time
1. Substance: A silver-painted, used cardboard paired with a soundtrack of gravitational waves detected by LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory).
2. This ripple in spacetime, detected by LIGO, originates from the merger of two black holes with masses of 29 and 36 solar masses, about 1.3 billion light-years away. We are hearing the sound of a gravitational wave from 1.3 billion years ago.
3. Due to its wave-like nature, we can only encounter this moment/that spacetime once and never again.
3. Space
Space is an experiment in which the sketch-design-production-presentation-critique process is grounded in the principles of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), ensuring no byproduct material.
4. Matter
Matter is an exhibition based on the principles of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), using found objects from the area (mushrooms, foliage, trash, etc.) to make art.
5. Hard-to-categorize Stuff
I make stuff when I procrastinate, but yet to know how to categorize them.
